Studded Nails

If you are a regular reader of my blog you'll know I love to embellish things!  My nails are definitely no exception and these were my nails this weekend!  I think studs looks best on black or nude shade nails.  Here is how I achieved this subtle but bang on trend studded nail look

1.  Prep your nails (cuticles, shape, buff, base coat)
2.  Paint 2 coats of your chosen base colour, mine is Models Own in "Peach Sherbet"
3.  Make sure your colour is completely dry before moving onto the next step
4.  Dip the end of a small dotting tool into a blob of clear polish - I used Seche Vite Top Coat - and dot onto your nail where you want your first stud to be.  It is best to start in the middle and work outwards to get them evenly spaced
5.  Using the same end of the dotting tool, which should be a little tacky from your clear polish  pick up a gold bead and place it on your nail
6.  Continue to do this all over your nail/nails and wait as long as possible to let the studs dry onto the nail firmly
7.  Finish with a very light coat of clear polish to really seal your studs in place and give extra shine to the whole look

Madeline Poole Inspired NOTD

This Models Own Peach Sherbet polish is THE best colour I have ever owned!! I just think it is super lush and I want to paint it on my nails every single day, twice a day!!  If you don't have it BUY IT!  Its the best pastel shade EVER #GetItNow

OK so now I have expressed my love for a nail polish (bit weird) I will show you what I used it for today!

Models Own Peach Sherbet & Topshop Glimmer

These nails are inspired by the fabulous Madeline Poole of MP Nails
I love the outline look it really makes a boring manicure something a little special and I think the peach and gold combo I used here goes together like salt n peppa!

I think I will do some more MP inspired nails as her designs are so fricken cool!

I want to see some NOTD's! Show me yours!?

10 Strikes of Lightning

The weather has definitely taken a turn for the worse recently and we were struck by a lovely storm the other evening which inspired my latest design!!  I cannot stand thunderstorms, they terrify me!  I remember once being in Spain and there was a proper big electrical storm and me and my big sis hid under the duvet it was SO loud and so scary!!!!!

Lightning nails however are a little less frightening and I am actually loving the look!!!  I used all Models Own polishes for this mani, I have named them below the piccie..

Models Own "In The Navy", Models Own "Indian Ocean", Models Own "Snow White"

What has been inspiring your nail art recently??

Skin Art Nail Tattoos

Nail Art is huge right now, and I definitely know some people feel left out as it is hard to achieve without the time or a steady hand.  Also paying for nail art can be quite pricey and not available to everyone
That's where Skin Art Nail Tattoos* step in!!  These little beauts are basically mini stickers that you apply over painted nails in any position you like to create an effortless and fabulous work of art in minutes!!

Each pack includes 60 tattoos in various different designs, including hearts, stars, birds, bows, crosses and nautical anchors.  I literally love all of the designs and would be tempted to squeeze them all on in one go!  However for my first go I decided to go with the birds which are very Kate Moss looking, and I am so pleased with the result!

Models Own Fuzzy Peach & Skin Art Nail Tattoos

absolutely love how very Chanel-esque these look and how easy they are to use.  I would recommend using tweezers to apply the sticker for precision and adding a coat of Seche Vite on top so that they last longer
I have used a lot of water nail decals in the past which can be really fiddly and often lift off the nail, whereas these stick really well without lifting and no water or drying time required!

I think these Nail Tattoos are amazing gifts for friends over Christmas and I will most definitely be purchasing some!  It would be great if they release some coloured or glittered versions to really make your nails stand out from the crowd!
You can buy these now here for £5.99 a pack

Have you tried out any nail tattoos??
